The other day a friend of mine asked for tips on how to break into the male modeling industry. I told him to become a professional skateboarder because they are the top choice for fashion house’s and editorial right now. Just look at VOGUE Skateboard Magazine‘s coverage over the last couple years and model/skaters like Ben Nordberg and the late great Dylan Rieder, forever the most iconic who’s influence is still hitting catwalks.

So I was kinda messing with him as he’s never skated in his life, but look… more proof. Tony Hawk and his eldest son Riley are styling for GQ Style. It’s a pretty tight article as well. They discuss skateboarding nepotism, how it feels to watch each other slam, the frustrating aspect to modern skateboarding, and much more. Read it. It’s cool to get a perspective on skateboarders other than from skateboard media once and awhile. And gotta say Riley is looking pretty stoked to be all dolled up like that. Could he be the next member of #TeamHandsome?
