Move outta the way Ice Bucket Challenge, Planking, Mannequin Challenge, and any other wack ass ‘Challenge’ that isn’t the #SluggoChallenge. For those not in the know on the hottest trend in skateboarding since July 21st, 2017, it’s kickflipping on a picnic table. (But feel free to ad your own creativity like shotgunning a beer, upping the sketchiness factor, or worse.) This is the day that Robert “Sluggo” Boyce or Red Dragons RDS FSU fame reinvented himself once again and performed the most viral skateboarding trick since doing a backflip into a foam pic synchronized to The Backstreet Boys at the Dime Glory Challenge 2016 aka “Sluggo’s Best Weekend Ever.” The challenge sometimes ends in pain, but always ends in glory.

Ever since that weekend the skateboard industry has re-examined Sluggo and decided that yes, he is in fact a full-blown legend. Many a serious essay was written about it.

Sluggo has once again raised the bar with the #SluggoChallenge. Is anyone having more fun in skateboarding right now than Robert ‘Sluggo’ Boyce? Right now I am drinking red wine and reading Baudelaire. Always thinking too much and being far too self-aware to ever have any real fun. Sluggo??? That fucker is probably shotgunning a beer and doing backflips in a vert ramp. What a time to be alive!!!

Could the emergence of the #SluggoChallenge only a few weeks before the DIME Glory Challenge 2017 be a coincidence? There’s no way. We’re calling it right now that the Sluggo Challenge will be incorporated into their Mystery Challenge and we can’t wait.
