When the rumour that SNOWBOARDER was going on-line only (the same time that SURFING mag bite the dust and was consolidated into SURFER) people went bananas. Luckily it turned out to be just that, a rumour. BUT…. seeing as The Enthusiast Network owns both TWSnow and SNOWBOARDER how long in this current atrophying industry state will they continue to run both as is?
Maybe we will soon find out as the latest rumor is that the entire parent company TEN is for sale for $40-million. The first we heard of this was from Beachgrit and being based nearby all those head offices and hearing the gossip in the line-up every morning there is a good chance this originally came from a reliable source.
So the rumour mill says $40-million, but the real question… is anyone buying?
Time will tell.
