We all saw this coming a long time ago, but still sad to see it. Transworld SNOWboarding is following in the footsteps of sister Transworld SKATEboarding by killing the print and sending all current subscribers Mens Journal instead. Ain’t that a kick in the junk.

SNOWBOARDER is already more or less gone – a shell of its former self now given away for free – so let’s direct everyones attention over to the fine cats at The Snowboarders Journal. Go subscribe now before it’s too late.

Fact from our Editor-in-Chief Greg Emmanuel: Every adventure is a bit more comfortable, and likely more fun, if you have the right gear. And that’s the theme of this year’s spring gear roundup, “Gear Up and Go,” in the March issue. Instead of a grab bag of cool stuff, we’ve decided to pair the best new essentials with some genuine (and genuinely awesome) things to do with them: an RV road trip, a bikepacking adventure, a destination surf trip, a multiday hike, a day at the lake, a motorcycle journey, and an out-of-town road race. Pick up a copy of the magazine, on newsstands Friday, Feb. 22, and head to the link in bio for our full issue preview. A TWS cover is the pinnacle of snowboard photography and for many years I dreamed of shooting one. That dream was finally realized in 2001, 9 years after I had first been published. I went on to work for TWS as a Senior Photographer for nearly 20 years, shooting a total of 25 covers. I got to travel the world, see beautiful places and meet amazing people. Thanks to all the great people that made this magazine possible, you know who you are and I am forever grateful. I would not be who I am today without you and this magazine. While most other mags closed their doors I expected TWS to be the last one standing. Sad news felt around the snowboarding (and skateboarding) community with the loss of these iconic magazines. @twsnow RIP 1987-2019 • • • • • #RIPtwsnow #PrintIsDead #TransworldSNOWboarding #TWSnow #Since1987 #ripTWS
