Oregon Backcountry is Open For Business | Deep early season mission for pow

October 6th seems pretty early to be hiking around the Oregon backcountry, riding deep-ish pow, and building jumps, so hopefully this is a sign of a good winter.

Oregon backcountry expert Pete Alport had his camera out and was joined by Austin Smith, Ben Ferguson, Gabe Ferguson, Dru Brownrigg, and the late sleep-in arrival of one of snowboardings most creative cinematographers Jake Price.

The crew left town at 2:30am in order to make it onto the trails by sunrise. After hours of snow shoeing into the zone a kicker was built and methods were sent.
