Nike Head Designers Fav Surf / Skate Magazine Revealed
Arguably some of the worlds greatest design minds work at Nike especially when it comes to crossover with athletics. Whenever those features come out about great designers work spaces or ‘on the desk’ type articles or even when just touring offices where great design minds work, we always comb the walls and spaces for cool bits and pieces of inspiration.
This piece on John Hoke – who is the Chief Design Officer of Nike and therefore manages 1000’s of the most creative minds – came up in the New York Times about him doodling all day and reimagining the NBA’s uniforms. Mellow. One thing we discovered while watching their first prototype review meeting of was that one of them was wearing none other than a WHAT YOUTH tee shirt. That is maybe even more cool than watching the episode of Netflix’s design show Abstract where Tinker Hatfield actually goes surfing in Oregon because we don’t actually have to watch them surf!
So there you have it. WHAT YOUTH is officially the see and be seen in shirt of the head creative designers in the world. Thrasher was sooooo 2016!
