Chris Nieratko is a favorite over here. Imagine the great literature he would have spewed out if he didn’t get sucked into the dirtbag life of a skateboarder. He may have started as Dave Carnie’s little protege (maybe he would see this differently) over at Big Brother magazine during its hey day. Two of the best to ever write and poke fun at this thing we call skateboarding working under the same roof. Imagine the stories!
Since then Chris has (again depending on who you ask) surpassed his master. Or at least remained more in the spotlight. Nieratko has gone onto such great things as opening skate-shops in his home of New Jersey, married his name twin Cris Nieratko, ridden in cars with pro skateboarders, and watched/written about lots and lots of pornography for VICE.
And now he gets to be almost as rich and famous as the pro skateboarders he writes about!
