If you’ve experienced Kauai then you have experienced paradise. Unfortunately the island has been subject to record breaking rains, more than it could handle. The rivers flooded towns and the mountains slide out through the road. The surf community is coming together to build it back up stronger than ever. Help out if you can.

“Kauai is in desperate need of your help. So many homes and so many belongings were lost in this unheard of flood. 27 inches in 24 hours. This community is full of hardworking people who live humbly and frankly can’t afford the extreme finical burden this storm has and is going to cost. They are the same people who make this special place what it is. If you’ve visited you know what I’m talking about and if you can I hope you’ll step up and help @welovehanalei raise much needed funds, every little bit helps. 🙏🏽 the forth photo is of my parents road, the road I grew up on. The landslides are so bad they are saying people may be stuck in Wainiha and Haena for months. Thankfully no one was harmed and I know this strong community will come back even stronger ❤ aloha 🌸”

Looks like my photo went viral. My next door neighbor told me that the buffalo had been washed into Hanalei bay and were being herded back to shore. My wife two daughters and myself went to Hanalei and saw a kayaker trying to get this one back to shore. When I arrived he was obviously exhausted but glad to be back on shore. Two guys were trying to lasso him and he was not about to let anyone be in control of him. He was ready to charge at any of the three of us. I had to cross a small river to get to him but am stoked I got a shot that sums up the beauty and danger of the last few days on the north shore of Kaua’i. #hanaleibuffalo #myphotos #hanaleiflood #kauai #hawaii #photocredit #originalcontent #princeville #stregisprinceville #hanalei #hanaleibay
