Is 90’s Nostalgia Hindering Skateboarding Culture’s Progress?
We lived through the 90’s. They were alright. Certainly people are looking back at them through rose tinted lenses now though when it comes to skateboarding. The nineties style is evident from the tricks, to the style of dress and videos, and more. Which is all fine, but what does it mean for the current and future progression of skateboard culture? Is it holding us back? Turning us into consumers? Or maybe we’re not “looking back” at all, but recalibrating and starting all over again down the right path?
