Montauk, New York is the mecca of the east coast surf scene. It is also next door to the Hampton’s, the mecca of the east coast super rich leisure scene. As close as Montauk and the Hampton’s are to each other they are a world apart in personality, especially once the waves of autumn hit and the rich retreat to make room for laid back surfers. One of the best known surfers coming out of New York these days is 21-year old pro Quincy Davis. She makes a point to spend time at home during the fall months as they are the best of the year.
