Today, as in…2 minutes ago…Trump pulled the United States out of the monumental Paris Agreement. This is unacceptable and a decision we've been dreading. To fight climate change, we need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and to do that, we need policies in place to mandate action. Unfortunately, back in March, Trump gutted all of our nation's climate protections, too. . So for the sake of everyone's sanity, we want to give you some good news and proactive next steps. . Fortunately, cities, states, and business leaders are in early discussions to create their own carbon reduction agreements to replace the commitments our country made in Paris. They understand how important it is to cut emissions and combat climate change. . How cool would that be? If cities and states came together to agree to meet the national reduction standards in the Paris Agreement, despite today's announcement? . We're asking you to join us by calling your governor. Tell them that regardless of Trump bailing on the Paris Agreement, you want your home state to set limits for greenhouse gas emissions. Ask them to stand up and be a leader. We need to reduce carbon emissions to fight climate change, protect public health, move to a clean energy economy, and to protect our winters. Reports are that @realdonaldtrump is going keep his campaign promise to pull us out of the Paris Climate Agreement. Making the USA one of 3 countries not participating in the agreement.

I still can not wrap my head around the fact that half the country elected a President that denies the facts of science.

This trend needs to change and we need to start now to change it. Especially Republicans. People need to be able to vote for the environment and be able to vote Republican or Democratic.
