Figgy’s Wildest Story | How Nuge saved his life
Perhaps the best skateboard movie of the year is upon us – emerica’s MADE: Chapter 2. All the og legends are in there still going for the glory even if they are aging right into their late-30’s. Andrew Reynolds, Jerry Hsu, Bryan Herman, Spanky, Figgy, mayyyyyybe even Heath Kirchart.
Kingpin Mag sat down with one of the stars – Figgy – after the wild London premiere and asked him all about the filming, who he would want on the team, getting ready to film BAKER 4, and more. Once he started talking about Nuge (the crazy hill bomber) though this crazy story came about how he almost killed, then saved eight very influential skateboarders in a car accident:
“We were driving in a transit van, there were 16 people in this van in a place called the Land of a Thousand Hills, 300ft cliffs everywhere. We lost control and instead of going off the cliff, Nuge ran the van into a house – he saved Grant Taylor, Jake Phelps, Raven, Tony Trujillo, Trixie, Rowan Zorilla, P Stone, saved everyone!
He just took the hit, the whole front windshield just caved in on Nuge. Shit like that. Every single trip there’s something stupid that wouldn’t happen on any other trip, almost somehow fucking dying. Nuge forever! Actually, I’ll take Slash and Nuge on Emerica, my bad!”
