Today was the end of the world as we know it as the least classy man in the world took office. To the dismay of (probably) every snowboarder, skateboarder, and surfer in the world Donald Trump is now President of the USA. He’s ruining the environment and his buildings suck for skating.

Bernie Sanders was there not showing his support and guess what… he was wearing Burton!

Another win for Bernie. It was a Burton [ak] 2L lz down jacket in case you were wondering. Burton has been getting involved positively by paying their employees to go to the Women’s March on Saturday if they feel so inclined. Pretty dope.

Since Burton is a Vermont-based snowboarding company (founded in 1977 by Jake Burton Carpenter), Sanders’s choice does fit nicely into the tradition of political figures using their clothing to rep local industry, while solidly hewing to his disheveled, no-nonsense personal aesthetic. It was raining in DC on Friday, so the man put on a waterproof jacket. Next question.
