Brian Anderson deservedly won the Skateboard Mag’s Most Courageous Skateboarder of the Year Award. And it wasn’t only because he’s a ballsy skateboarder.

Publicly coming out of the closet. Becoming the years most famous mainstream skater. Marrying his husband. Plus much more led to it.

This year, after twenty years as a professional skateboarder, @nolimitsoldier revealed that he is gay. Coming out can be an agonizing experience—the anxiety and fear traumatizes many—but for Brian Anderson, the first revered Pro to take this step, it was all love. What do you know—we are an inclusive community!
