The State Of Surf Media w/ STAB’s New Editor-In-Chief | The evolving landscape + where print’s failed
STAB is changing face again after buying themselves back from the failing Surf Stitch and hiring the wonderful Ashton Goggans to helm the ship as editor-in-chief. Gotta say it’s been pretty entertaining over on STAB.com ever since his arrival.
Ashton has been making the promotional rounds and ended up on the Surf Splendor Podcast where they discussed his story and the state of surf media, print and all. Dive in.
“Today’s conversation centers around the ever evolving media landscape, where Surfer Magazine is failing, revitalizing the importance of the cover shot, the limitations of a hi-performance shortboard focus, and how Stab will compete for relevance in the Insta-age.”
Stoked to sit down and talk story with @david_lee_scales on @surfsplendor. Listen to the episode on iTunes, or wherever you consume podcasts, and make sure to do a deep dive into David's archive–great interviews with @aleutianjuice, @andrewkidman, @ericarakawadesigns, @pyzelsurfboards and so many more.
