Snowboarding isn’t gymnastics. So why do snowboarders freak out when Shaun received a score of 100 leading into the Olympics when surfers get “perfect” scores in nearly every event and sometimes twice in one heat?

First, congrats to Shaun White for the hardest fought Gold he’s probably ever won and for putting up with all the shit from other snowboarders and random haters. Seriously the dude is bawling from emotion of winning his country a Gold and you’re gonna get mad because the flag dropped a bit? Some people and their recreational anger.

So back to the “Imperfect 100” and other snowboard judging. Get into this article below and remember that snowboarding ain’t gymnastics and never will be even if it is real spinny/flippy.

“I wish people would stop calling it that,” said Matthew Jennings, the head snowboard judge at the Grand Prix contests in Snowmass and Mammoth, as well as the head snowboard judge at the Olympic snowboard contests here in Pyeongchang. “It wasn’t a perfect run. It was a 100. Snowboarding isn’t gymnastics.”
