Surf Shacks: A Off-The-Grid, DIY Beauty Located Outside Byron Bay
If you were to give up the city live for care free days of surfing, organic farming, no-social media’ing then the best place to do it might be in a DIY, off-the-grid, creative container surf shack outside the rainforests of Byron Bay in Australia. Phew!!!
Jamie Smallwood put some serious work into this beautiful surf shack and he still finds time to surf and work full time. That’s what happens when you don’t waste all your time on the Internet or smart phone. You get shit done.
Dion Agius did almost the same thing. Gave up the smart phone for a burner and also has a container home in Byron Bay, which you can even rent on AirBnB since the madman is always on the road.
But back to Jamie. Indoek features his container home in their latest Surf Shacks. Check it.

A few shots from #SurfShacks 055 featuring the self-built, off-the-grid home of Jamie Smallwood made mostly of recycled, repurposed and leftover materials. This beautifully designed Fortress of Solitude is located in the mountain rainforest region of Goonengerry overlooking Byron Bay and all of its glory. If this slideshow had sound, you might hear birds chirping, but that's about it. Link in profile. ~~~ http://www.indoek.com/archives/23466 ~~~ 📷: @mtitone
