We’ve been waiting for Cody Townsend’s 50 Project series to get into the Sierra because it’s our newly adopted backyard and we’ve been starring at a few of these lines all winter. The time is finally here and wouldn’t you know it Cody invited splitboarder extraordinaire Nick Russell to join the party. Also in there is “Guidebook Guy” himself Nate Greenberg. After memorizing about half of his new book already this season it was cool to see him in action. Giant Steps is a committing line with a massive amount of vertical off the valley. An epic that came through!

Sample:

The Eastern Sierra of California is a mythical mountain range of massive mountains that rise straight out of the desert floor. Scratching the sky, Giant Steps Couloir, is a rarely tamed and hard fought line that takes careful navigation and strong legs to ascend and descend. Starring author of the book, “Backcountry Skiing the Eastern Sierra” Nate Greenberg and Nick Russell.
