Well we all could see it coming after TEN (which includes just about every California board sports title including Snowboarder, TWSnow, TWSkate, SURFER, etc.) was bought out by Donald Trump’s best friend just days before allegedly trying to blackmail the richest man in the world. Crazy days. Subscribers received the above message saying that their beloved Transworld Skateboarding issues would be replaced with Mens Journal. Ahh, no thanks.

So who’s next?

May/June 1983 – March/April 2019. Issue 1 to Issue 397. I have been holding off on commenting on the sale of @transworldskate to AMI but today subscribers received notices informing them that the March/April issue of TWS will be the last. Without dwelling on the negative, I’d like to give a huge thanks to TWS and everybody I worked with over the past 15 years there. Being a part of the magazine that first drew me into skateboarding has been a huge honor. I’m told that TWS will continue producing digital content and I may still contribute to those efforts, however my role (and salary) as Associate Editor at the magazine ceases with this last issue. As some small consolation, it couldn’t have been a better cover to go out on. Top was @stevecaballero by Frank Hawk, bottom is @lancemountain by @aacostaa. Salutes to all who ever worked at the mag, contributed, or were readers. Skate and Create.
