Olympic Fashion: Winning Or Naw? | Ex-Burton creative Greg D takes Team USA to outer space

Olympic team uniforms are starting to drop and it’s no surprise that most don’t look that appealing. Some are worse than ever however, Canada came through pretty strong this time around in gear that The NYT dubbed a Supreme rip-off, which we’ll take as a compliment. Burton’s Team USA spacesuit offerings are not bad overall and NASA and space themed images have already proven hot in the streets thanks to Tom Sachs Nike collabs. Tom was also in the building at the unveiling, but no word yet if he helped out with the team uniforms.

Snowboardings most wild character Greg D aka Ivan Koloff (pictured below), formerly of Burton and no stranger to blasting his own damn self into outer space, had this to say,

“Spacesuits are like the ultimate engineered garment,” said Greg Dacyshyn, head of design for the Burton Olympic program. Wearing them, athletes “can imagine blasting out of a pipe, like blasting off into the atmosphere.”
