Jonah Hill’s Directorial Debut Takes On L.A Skateboarding Scene | The next KIDS?
Jonah Hill been up in this damn game forever. Or at least since he was 10-lbs thinner in da face. But he did do that Palace commercial, so that’s cred.
Now the money balling wolf of wall street is setting his sights on directing. And his first flick is gonna be all about the mid-90’s L.A skateboard scene. Kinda like KIDS, but for the west coast.
Also the line, “He is not expected to star in the film,” made me lol as it makes it seem like he could be acting as a young skateboarder. Sounds like it won’t be all cheesy though:
The Wolf of Wall Street star wanted to take a serious look at the world of boarders for new film Mid-90s.
“It’s sort of like a coming of age movie, which takes place in a skateboarding scene in the mid 90s,” he tells WENN. “L.A. skateboarding has always been put on screen as a joke or a ‘cowabunga’-like trope. It’s more in the tone of (Larry Clarke film) Kids.”
