Go “Beyond The Pines” Of “Northern Touch” | McInnis photos of a Gulliver movie from the way north of Canada

Who doesn’t love a Mark McInnis / Ben Gulliver collaboration? The photographer and filmer took the boys Josh Mulcoy, Noah Cohen, Pete Devries, and Noah “Waggy” Wegrich wayyy north in Canada to try to score some fickle waves. Out of it they got some dope shots and a little movie and learned a lot about a secret surf region we will one day see some gold out of.

Who had the intel on that area? Had you been before?

It’s an amazing place. It’s got this huge beach, like 20 miles long, and it’s kind of like France. But it’s hard to get swell—it all comes from the Aleutians and Alaska. You get these big north swells and they usually come with a lot of wind. So it’s definitely hard to score.
