‘Sea Of Mathilda’ First Update | Heath Kirchart + Boosh are terrifying families + living off the ocean in Baja
It’s telling that the most exciting thing happening in skateboarding right now involves zero skateboards and one retired skater that hasn’t put out a part in a number of years (Heath Kirchart) and another who we’re not sure if he ever has, (Boosh) but has a taste for adventure and a thirst for stylishly swilling beers.
Sea of Mathilda was announced a week or so back and we were worried the boys has already gotten into some trouble, but now the first update is here. Couple holes in the boat, some long days, some terrified families, a few pukes, no red devils,… things are looking up for these modern day pirates.
Here’s a quick sample:
“One week in.. This is definitely an adventure. One thing that you can’t see on google maps is all those good looking beaches are covered in rocks which really isn’t conducive for bringing a heavy wooden rowboat up onto. We are getting a lot of stares anytime people see us pass by.
However, we’ve got caught in the solar winds, seen whales, gone in hot springs right on the ocean, had seals following us, met Baja Jesus, caught and ate a fish, taken a shit off the boat, got to a hotel, drank 12 margaritas, one of us (me) threw up next to the boat while it was on the beach while I was grabbing more tequila, and one of us (Heath) puked next to his bed. It was a fun morning.”
