If you’ve ever done a proper snowboard review you know it’s a time consuming and tiring process. Many magazines are on the “pay-to-play” tip when it comes to which snowboard brands get in the test and also on which ones do the best. Even with those ‘blind’ board tests one still must add a grain of salt to the studies. So it’s nice to see other media sources like Angry Snowboarder putting in the time to get some decks under their feet. One of the things I learned doing multiple board tests for multiple magazines is that usually you can tell within minutes if a board is amazing or a dud. At least for freestyle boards.

Angry Snowboarder put together a huge list together and reviewed: beginner snowboards, all mountain freestyle snowboards, directional powder boards, twin powder boards, and park snowboards.

Brands represented are Salomon, DC, K2, Capita, Flow, Arbor, YES., Rossignol, Jones, Rome, Endeavor, Marhar, Ride, Dinosaurs Will Die, Smokin, Niche, Sims, Monument, Burton, Venture, Slash, Springbreak, Interior Plain Project, Lago, Bataleon, Degenerati, and Slash.

Not a bad selection. Every board model was tested on flex, stability, jump pop, ollies, butterability, jibbing, carving, personal thoughts, and comparable boards.
